Surah Al-Feel Explanation

Surah Al-Feel Chapter:105 Verse 1 Explanation

In which year this instructive incident appeared. There are several sayings about it. But the correct view is that which is narrated from Ibn Abbas and other scholars. That this incident happened about fifty days before the birth of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The month of Muharram was the seventeenth of the Arabic month.

And on the twelfth of Rabi’ul Awwal, Sarwar Alam (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was born. Abu Na’im writes that the attacking army was Christian. He was a follower of Jesus (peace be upon him) and a believer in the Gospel. The religion of the people of Makkah at that time was idolatry. Three hundred and sixty idols were kept in Kaaba Sharif.

It should have been that Abraha would have been helped against these polytheists and idolaters and those who made the Kaaba Khalil an idol would have been severely punished. But it didn’t happen. His wisdom is that now the time was near for the arrival of the one who settled the Kaaba, who illuminated it with the light of Tawheed. Although Abraha was a Christian .

But in the world of Christianity, the statues of Jesus and his mother were worshiped with great force. Therefore, in terms of belief, if there was any difference between the polytheists of Makkah and Abraha, then only nominally. In the year of the birth of his beloved, Allah Almighty said such grace and grace to the people of Makkah . Thanks to which they cannot pay forever.

This event appeared in such a way that every aspect of it surprises a person. The details of this incident are testifying to the perfect power of Allah Ta’ala, the knowledge of the environment and the greatness and honor of the Kaaba. Abra’s army consisted of sixty thousand war soldiers, but it also had a troop of elephants. In which 9 or 12 elephants participated. This troop was swinging in the army.

The people of Makkah, but the people of Arabia, had never seen such an army. And he never imagined this equipment and weapons. Elephant was a completely new thing for Arabs. Due to this characteristic, this entire army was called Ashab al-Fail. A few jealous tribes tried to fight Abraha, but did not succeed. The people of Makkah left the Kaaba in a state of helplessness and helplessness and hid in the surrounding mountains.

Apparently, there was no obstacle in demolishing the Kaaba. In these circumstances, the way Allah saved his house and put the coin of honor and sanctity of the first school of his beloved Messenger on the hearts of the people. Human intellect is stunned to see it. Man is forced to say that the person who has this house. His power is endless, his wisdom is endless and his plans are amazing. What he intends to do, which no one can stop.

Surah Al-Feel Chapter:105 Verse 2 Explanation

(Lasan al-Arab) means to plan to do something good or bad, wrong or rightÛ” This is what it means here. Abraha’s army was not hidden and hidden . His nefarious intentions were no secret. He announced this with a sting injury. That he has come to demolish the Kaaba. Abraha vowed to demolish the Holy Kaaba, and he made every plan to implement this determination.

The city of Makkah whose population was not more than a few thousand. Among them were old people, children and women. Attacking this city with such a great army shows this. That he wanted to ensure his success. He wanted to eliminate every possibility of defeat. Then he also took a group of war elephants with him. All these plans were clearly telling that he wanted to implement his intention at any cost.

He did not allow even one percent doubt of failure in his war plan. If Makkah and its allied tribes had gathered all their fighting men, then this army could not have been defeated. Abraha had left no stone unturned in the war plan. But O beloved ! The wisdom of your Lord thwarted all his plans. All his tricks were reduced to dust. Failure of any effort is called humiliation in Arabic.

Surah Al-Feel Chapter:105 Verse 3 Explanation

In the Arabic language, Ababil means many different groups that come from different directions. Ikrama and Qatadah say that these flock birds came from the Red Sea . Saeed bin Jubayr and Ikrama say that such birds were never seen before. Not seen later . These were not the birds of Najd . Not of Hijaz . And not Tahama, that is, the coastal area between the Hijaz and the Red Sea .

Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that his beaks were like birds and his claws were like dogs . Ikrama says that her head was like the heads of birds of prey . And almost all the narrators have a unanimous statement that every bird had a pebble in its beak. And two pebbles in the claws . Some people of Makkah had this pebble preserved for a period .

Therefore, Abu Na’im has quoted the statement of Nawfal bin Abi Muawiya. That I have seen those pebbles. Which were thrown at the Companions of Al-Fail . They were as black as a small grain of peas . The tradition of Ibn Abbas has been narrated by Abu Na’im. That they were equal to Chalghoze. And it is in the tradition of Ibn Mardawiyyah that it is equal to the manganese of a goat . It is obvious that not all stones will be the same Û” There must be some difference between them .

Surah Al-Feel Chapter:105 Verse 4 Explanation

The retaliatory action taken by the Lord to repel this attack is being mentioned in this verse. That to the army of Jarrar which was equipped with all kinds of weapons. The drunken elephants waving their trunks and creating fear and panic in their hearts. To destroy such an army, Allah did not need to use any extraordinary force. Out of his innumerable legions of various kinds, he sent a few legions of small birds.

As soon as the signal was received, Sahil Sundar fell. And with the stoning of a few moments, he removed the army. Ababel means collectiveÛ” Some have said that it means different pieces coming one after the other. Some have interpreted it to mean that different groups appeared from all sides, here and there. Nahas says that the meaning of these different sayings is the same.

The summary of all is that large groups of birds suddenly appeared from all sides. The size of these sangris was equal to the grain of gram or lentil. He was holding one stone in his own beak and two in his claws. They came flying and attacked the army. And as per the order, he threw one stone at each rider.

The grain of the mass of the lentil would tear their steel itself, their iron gold, wounding their bundled bodies, piercing their animals and sinking into the ground. There was no possibility of a mistake. Whoever felt the toxic effects were embedded in his body. Immediately the pimples started appearing and pus and blood started flowing from them. The intensity of the pain was unbearable.

With the passage of time, the meat began to rot and fall. His sudden stoning made them easy to make mistakes. No one was aware of the ban on military discipline. A few moments ago, the army was moving towards Makkah with military discipline. Now she was suffering from disorder. Everyone was running away with their mouths raised wherever they got a chance. Most of the army was destroyed there.

Surah Al-Feel Chapter:105 Verse 5 Explanation

How accurate and effective a picture of their dilapidated condition and destruction has been taken. Asaf says that the leaves of wheat, millet, corn etc. have been eaten by animals. When an animal eats fodder, it first chews it with its teeth and crumbles it. Those chewed leaves go into the stomach and determine the stage of digestion. And finally they come out as dung.

Think for yourself how dilapidated and destroyed the condition of these leaves. The same situation happened to them. Some people judge the power of Allah Ta’ala only on the test of their understanding. According to them, this incident which has been described by the Qur’an is not acceptable. That’s why they interpret it. They say that tar does not mean birds but wretched. And Hijara does not mean stone but trouble.

They say. No pieces of birds appeared from anywhere, nor were there stones in their beaks and claws, nor did they stone this army. Rather, an epidemic of poisonous smallpox broke out in this army. And because of that, that army was destroyed. If this stupid interpretation of his is accepted. Then why was that epidemic limited to this army, why was the local population safe from it .

Even an example, these people cannot tell that any of the people of Makkah died of this epidemic at that time. Making arbitrary interpretations of the Qur’anic verses or changing them for the pleasure of change in such a way that the Arabs are unable to accept eloquence is a great transgression. May Allah forgive all our mistakes. Translation (You protected us from the Abyssinian army and elephants and they kept grazing their animals in the mountains of Makkah for a long time.

We were afraid that they would fight us . O Lord Dhul-Jalal, we thank you and we praise you) . As you have already read that Abraha brought Nafail bin Habib, the chief of Bani Khatham, with him. So that he informs about the routes of Balad Hijaz. When Abraha’s army left to attack the Kaaba, he slipped away and met the people of Makkah, who were standing on the top of the mountain.

:: Then she considered me disabled and recognized my achievement and what had died. She would not regret it.::Every soldier of Abraha’s army used to ask where Nafail was so that he would show us the way to escape from here. They were inquiring about me as if I were responsible for any debt of these Abyssinians.: These poems also deny the assumption of our modernist commentators.

:: A welcome effect of this incident was that the polytheists of Arabia Confidence rose from these idols. And all of them humbly began to cry in the presence of Allah, the Most High, to get rid of this calamity. It also indicates that O people of Makkah ! You rejected the invitation of my beloved to Tawheed with great reluctance, who is not ready at any cost to give up the idea of the divinity of these idols.

You forgot that incident of Aam al-Fail, who saved you from this army on that dayÛ” Who sent flocks of birds from the unseen world. By whose order these birds stoned your enemy . He did not let your hair fall and also protected the house with which your greatness and honor are associated.
