Surah Al-Quraish Explanation
Surah Al-Quraish Chapter:106 Verse 1 Explanation
The virtues of Quraysh Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) narrates that the Prophet (PBUH) said. In this religion, people are subject to Quraysh, Muslims are subject to Muslims and infidels are subject to infidels. Hazrat Jabir bin Samra (RA) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying that Islam will prevail continuously for twelve caliphs, and they will be from the Quraysh caliphs tomorrow.
Hazrat Asad (RA) narrates that the Prophet (PBUH) said: Whoever intends to humiliate the Quraysh, Allah will humiliate him. Hazrat Umm Hani bint Abi Talib (RA) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Allah has given superiority to Quraysh for seven reasons . (1) I am in the Qur’an . (2) Prophethood is among them . (3) Hajjabat is among them . (4) The position of watering Zamzam is among them .
(5) ” Allah helped them against the Companions of Al-Feel “ . (6) He worshiped Allah Subhanahu for ten years، At that time, no one else worshiped except him . (7) Allah revealed this Surah of the Holy Qur’an about him. Allah killed ” Companions of Al-Fail “ so that the Quraysh would remain.
It is objected that the one whom Allah killed the Companions of Al-Feel and made them like straw eaten, was the punishment for their disbelief. It was, not because it was intended to support the Quraysh، The answer is that it was not a punishment for their disbelief because the punishment for disbelief has been postponed until the Day of Resurrection.
What was killed by Abraha’s army was done to encourage Quraysh۔ ” Ashab al-Feel “ was killed to attract Quraish on a trade journey, what is the reason for this ? The answer is that Makkah was a non-agricultural city and the leaders of Makkah used to travel commercially in the cold and heat and they had economic dependence on this trade.
And the people around Makkah used to respect the people of Makkah a lot, they used to say . They are the neighbors of the House of Allah and the inhabitants of the Haram and are the guardians of the Kaaba and they were called the people of Allah، If Abha’s army had demolished the Kaaba, their honor and sanctity would have gone away, and the people of Abyssinia would have plundered Makkah, and this city would have become desolate and ruined, and because our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was in that city.
I had to be born and was to be sent to the same city and Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) in the same city I prayed for your mission, so Allah inclined the hearts of Quraysh to travel to Yemen in the winter season and inclined them to travel to Syria in the summer season. The reason for the Quraysh is Tasmiyyah and the lineage of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the name of the Quraysh because Qurash is the name of a large animal of the sea that plays with boats.
When Muawiya (R.A.) inquired from him about the reason for Quraysh, he said . Quraish is the confirmation of Qurash, Qurash is a powerful animal of the sea, which eats other animals but no one eats it, it always prevails and is never defeated, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is also a tribe of Quraysh. I was born, it is in the hadith .
Allah chose Hazrat Ismail (peace be upon him) from among the descendants of Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and chose Banu Kinana from among the descendants of Hazrat Ismail and chose Quraysh from Banu Kinana and chose Banu Hashim from Quraysh and chose me from Banu Hashim. So they should worship the Lord of this house. The requirement of reward for Quraish is that they should not associate anyone in the worship of Allah Almighty. There are two types of rewards of Allah . (1) To remove harm (2) To give profit.
Give rewards and because repelling harm is superior to obtaining profit، Therefore, in Surah Al-Feel, he mentioned to them the destruction of the army of their enemy Abraha and in Surah Al-Quraish he described attracting them for a commercial journey and it is obligatory to thank him for every naat, so he said. Because we have given these blessings to the Quraysh، Therefore, it is obligatory on them to worship the Lord of the House of Allah to thank him.
The meaning of this worship is that they should express great helplessness and humiliation before Allah or acknowledge the monotheism of the Lord of this House of Allah because only He has protected this house، Not those idols whom they worship and in this verse the word ” Lord “ has been used because Hazrat Abdul Muttalib said to Abraha that there is a Lord of this House, who will protect him and the Kaaba.
He will not hand over the protection to idols، So now it was necessary for the Quraish to worship only Allah alone because of confession and confession and not to worship anyone other than Him, as if Allah said to the Quraish that because you only Allah alone for the protection of the Kaaba.
What is trust in، Therefore, worship Him alone in this house and do not associate anyone else in His worship. He said in Al-Quraish. He who fed them in hunger and kept them in peace out of fear. Reasons for feeding the Quraish and eating in peace (1) When Allah blessed the Quraish in the Haram, they were not in any danger in their trade journey, they would travel in peace and trade with China and buy grain from Syria and Yemen. They would bring it and manage their economy and food.
Kalbi said. The meaning of this verse is that when they denied our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he made this supplication against them . Hazrat Abdullah bin Masoud (RA) narrates that when the Prophet (PBUH) saw that people were turning away from his call to faith, he prayed. O Allah, impose on them such seven years of famine.
Impose, like there was a famine for seven years during the time of Hazrat Yusuf (peace be upon him)، Then a famine came upon them, which destroyed everything until they ate the skins of animals, the dead and the dead, then Abu Sufyan came to you and he said . O Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), you command obedience to Allah and mercy, and your people are perishing, pray to Allah for them.
Hadith (Then your prayer rained a lot in Makkah) . Allah has shown that even if a person feeds and feeds animals, animals obey him, as if the polytheists of Makkah have gone through animals too, that Allah fed them in hunger, and they still obey and worship Allah .
(3) The meaning of this verse is that the Quraysh were hungry for ignorance, so Allah revealed revelation to their Prophet, which removed their ignorance as if Allah Almighty said. O Quraysh of Makkah ! You were ignorant people before the mission of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), then Allah revealed revelation to your Prophet. Those who taught you the Book and wisdom, that now you are called scholars, then feeding is the food of the body, which obliges the sugar of the feeder, so the food that is the food of the soul, thanks for this food.
Why don’t you give thanks ! Allah kept Quraysh Makkah at peace out of fear.Quraysh used to travel from Makkah to different cities and they were not in danger of any robbery or looting during their journey، They did not face any danger in their journey, while other people who traveled to distant cities faced many dangers, in this sense this verse was revealed. (Al-Ankabut : 67) Have these people not seen that We have made the Haram peaceful even though people are taken away from around them.
Surah Al-Quraish Chapter:106 Verse 2 Explanation
Just as described in detail in the introduction of the Surah, Quraysh were trading professionals. He used to reach the ports of Yemen, the southern president of the Arabian Peninsula, in the winter season. From here there were products from India and other countries of South Asia, they would buy them and load them on camels and take them to Syria and sell them. In the same way, in the summer season, they used to take to the cool and cool areas of Syria and Palestine. From there, they used to buy imports and products of the western world and take them to Yemen and sell them.
Those who could not afford to buy and sell earn a lot of wages in carrying. There is a vast desert between Yemen and Syria. These people were aware of its downsides. He also had the courage to decide it. At that time, there was no civilized government in Arabia. It was a period of chaos. The trade caravans had to deal with desert bados and secretaries step by step.
But Quraysh Makkah was safe from all these dangers and incidents of banditry. No resident of Arabia could look at his caravan with tempting eyes. And no one had the courage to lay hands on them, it was also a great favor of Allah Almighty to him that with the blessing of his house, the hearts of all the inhabitants of the Arabian Peninsula were subjugated by Allah for the Quraysh.
Surah Al-Quraish Chapter:106 Verse 3 Explanation
When Allah has made such a dignified arrangement for their sustenance, they should now worship the One who owns this Kaaba. Who protected it from Abraha’s invasion a few years ago and the attackers He gave such a terrible punishment that no one will be able to do such a dare in the future.
Surah Al-Quraish Chapter:106 Verse 4 Explanation
For a long time, his financial condition continued to deteriorate. There would have been many times of starvation, but with his wisdom, he made them prosperous by creating the desire for business in their hearts. Flames of unrest were burning everywhere in the Arabian Peninsula. There was a fire of temptation and corruption. Looting continued on common highways.
A traveler’s return home safely is considered a miracle. Every tribe was afraid in its place. Even in cities and villages, there was always a beating of pirates. But with the blessing of Quraish Kaaba Mishra, they were respected wherever they went. No one had the courage to lay hands on them. It was also simply the favor of Allah that He had created respect for the people in their hearts and it was simply because they were servants of the house of Allah .
