Surah Al-Asar Chapter:103 Verse 1 Explanation
Reasons for swearing by time (1) Time consists of very strange things. It shows happiness and sadness, and health and illness, happiness and hardship. The intellect is surprised to call the age present or extinct. Extinction cannot be said because time consists of years, months, weeks, days and hours. And time is less and more. And what is like this cannot disappear. And present cannot say because it is time or past or future. The past has passed and doesn’t exist. And the future has not yet come, it also does not exist. And if he is present, he is indivisible.
(2) If a person continues to sin for the rest of his life and repents at the last moment of his life, he will get Paradise. In which he will always be. So that is the precious moment of human life. And man just wasted the life before that. Allah has said: (Al-Furqan (62) And He made the night and the day to follow each other. For those who intend to receive advice or give thanks.
(3) People have a habit of attributing to time the sufferings that befall them or the losses they suffer. Allah swore by the age and showed that time is the blessing of Allah. There is no defect in it. The defect is in the human being. He suffers due to his deeds and misdeeds. And it leads to time compared to this loss.
(4) The age of a person decreases with the passage of time. If he does not do a good deed, he will be completely harmed. That is why Allah swore by the age and said: Indeed, every human being is in harm’s way. Aside from the people who accepted and carried out beneficial things.
There is a tradition that ” Asr “ refers to Dahar and Zamana. Ibn Kaisan said, it is dead day and night. Hasan Basri said: It refers to the time from sunset to sunset. Qatadah said, it refers to the last hour of the day. Muqatil said, it refers to Asr prayer because it is the Middle Salat. What Muqatil has said that ” wal Asr “ refers to Asr prayer.
The commentators have mentioned the following reasons . (1) Allah has warned him by swearing the Asr prayer that in the sight of Allah, there is a lot of excellence in the Asr prayer. That is why it is said in the Holy Quran . (Al-Baqarah:238) Protect all prayers, especially those between prayers. (2) The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has also described the great virtue and importance of Asr prayer .
Hazrat Ibn Umar (RA) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: The person whose Asr prayer died is as if his family and his wealth perished. Hazrat Burida said in a cloudy day: Pray Asr prayer early, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever abandons Asr prayer, his action is lost. Hazrat Jarir (RA) narrates that we were with the Prophet (PBUH).
He looked at the moon and said: You will soon see your Lord as you see the moon. You will not suffer from seeing it. If you can, do not neglect the prayers before sunrise and sunset. These prayers should not be performed by you.
Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Angels of the night and angels of the day come to you alternately. Furthermore, they assemble in Fajr and Asr . Then the angels who were with you at night go up. Their Lord asks them. Although he knows more than them. He says: In what condition did you leave my servants ؟ They say: When We left them, they were praying. And even when we came to them, they were climbing.
(3) Praying at the time of Asr is very heavy on the self. Because at this time business people are engaged in their business. And the worship that is heavy, there is a lot of reward for paying it. (4) After Asr prayer, their worship ends. So praying at this time is like repenting while dying. (5) The time of Asr is very holy in the sight of Allah. At this time, selling a bargain by telling a lie is a cause of great displeasure in the sight of Allah.
It is in the hadith: Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Allah will not look at three men on the Day of Resurrection with mercy. And will not purify their inner self. And for them there will be a difficult punishment. A person who has spare water on the way and forbids giving it to his neighbor.
The second is the person who pledges allegiance to a ruler for worldly purposes. If he gives her something from the world, he will be satisfied with it, and if he does not give it to her, he will be angry with her. And the third is the person who sells the deal after Asr and says . By Allah ! Apart from which no one deserves worship. I got this thing so much. And his buyer should confirm and he has taken a false oath.
Then you read this verse . (Al-Imran: 77) Verily, the people who sell the contract of Allah and their pledges at a little cost, there is no offer in the Great beyond. Allah will not speak to them. Furthermore, he won’t check out at them Upon the arrival of Revival. And it will not cleanse their inner selves and for them is a painful punishment. ” and Asr “ refers to the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him). This verse means that Allah has sworn by the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). And the proof on this is this hadith .
Hazrat Abu Musa Ash’ari (RA) narrates that the Prophet (PBUH) said: The example of Muslims, Jews and Christians is as follows. As a person hired some people to work for wages and said to them, working till night, they worked for half a day, then said. : We don’t need your wages and left work. Then he planted the other men and said to them . You work for the rest of the day and you will get that reward. He worked till the time of Asr prayer and said. That’s all we can do. Then he called more people and they worked the rest of the day until sunset until the sun set. And they got the reward of both parties.
From this hadith, it is known that Asr is the era that is reserved for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his Ummah, so ” and Asr “ means: By the time in which you are. This is the type of your time. And Allah swore by your city . The type of city you live in. And swear by your life.
(Al-Hajr: 72) So it is as if Allah said: By your time ! Type of your city ! Type of your life ! Think Allah is swearing by your relations. And your relations are so gracious in the sight of Allah, so how gracious will you be in the sight of Allah. As Hazrat Ali (RA) said: Verily, the son of Adam is in death and loss.
Hazrat Abi bin Ka’b (RA) narrates: I recited this surah in front of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and asked him: O Messenger of Allah ! My father and mother are devoted to you. What is the interpretation of this verse ؟ He said: ” and Asr “ refers to the last part of the day . In this verse ” human “ refers to Kafir. And the proof of this is that after that he has made an exception for the believers. He said: To be sure, man is at a loss. And the meaning of loss is: The real wealth of a person should be lost, that is, a person himself will perish and his entire life will be lost in sins.
Imam Abdul Rahman bin Ali bin Muhammad Juzi says: Man cannot be separated from loss. Because loss means: the loss of real wealth and the real wealth of a person is his age and he can very little avoid the loss of his life. Because time is passing above man. If he is engaged in sins, then there is no doubt about his loss. And if his time is spent in good deeds, yet his loss is in the sense that he did not get reward for these deeds. And if that time of his is spent in obedience and worship, then it is possible to worship in a better and higher state than the state he is worshiping.
Because the degrees of humility and humility are infinite. And the levels of Allah’s glory and wrath are also infinite, so the more a person will know Allah. He will fear Allah so much and the more he fears. He will worship so much. And abandoning high worship and adopting low worship is also a kind of loss. So it became clear that every human being is suffering from some kind of loss and loss. ” khasar “ means loss or loss of real property. So when a person does not use his self in those actions, from which there is eternal profit, then he is at a loss.
Because he did the act of killing himself. Obedience and worship of Allah, which costs a person’s age and youth. A person should not be saddened by this because a small part of his life in the worship of Allah leads him to eternal and eternal paradise. And saves from the eternal punishment of hell. Every person who orders a person to obey Allah is his benefactor. And the person who invites a person to sin against Allah is his ill-wisher. Allah has ordered good deeds and forbade evil deeds. For example, praying is a good deed because it respects Allah. And committing adultery is an ugly act.
Allah has ordered good deeds and prevented them from doing bad deeds. And Ashira says. The work ordered by Allah is good. And what is forbidden is ugly. It is not enough for a person to be good himself, but it is important that he makes others good too. Apart from doing good deeds, Allah has also ordered man to make others good. May the religion bequeath them to follow the truth and bequeath them to be patient in difficulties and sufferings.
As in this verse . (Al-Tahreem: 6) O you who believe ! Save yourself and your family from the fire of hell. Similarly, it is in the hadith . Hazrat Abdullah bin Masoud (RA) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Every one of you is the guardian of his subordinates. So every person will be asked about his subordinates. The head of the country is the guardian of his subjects. This will ask about his subjects. The head of the house is the protector of his family. He will be questioned about them. A woman is the guardian of her husband’s house and his children. And this will ask about them.
A servant is the guardian of his master’s property. This will ask about it. Each of you is the guardian of his subordinates. And this will ask about them. However, bequeathing people to obey and worship and exhorting people to be patient. It is known that it is not enough for a person to believe and do righteous deeds. Rather, it is also important for him to command others to do good. And prevent them from evil. As it is said in this refrain. (Al-Imran: 110) You are the best nation that has been created for people. That you enjoin good things and forbid bad things, and believe in Allah .
Surah Al-Asar Chapter:103 Verse 2 Explanation
Our capital in this business of life is time. And there is no other capital more valuable and dearer than that. Those who waste it aimlessly. Ruin in luxury. Instead of good deeds, they spend in the pursuit of decaying and mortal things. They will get profit from business, they have sunk their money.
What could be a bigger loss than this. Instead of profit, they took losses and lost time. The possibility of restarting the business also ended. Have you ever seen the condition of a traveler who is running back towards the destination. The sun is about to set. The darkness of the night is spreading four hundred.
Surah Al-Asar Chapter:103 Verse 3 Explanation
Those lucky people in humans who have the following qualities. The crown of true welfare is placed on their heads. The first and most important thing is that they sincerely believe in their Lord. Also, confirm the Prophet whom their Lord has sent for their guidance and guidance. And accept the system of life that this Prophet has presented to them wholeheartedly. The second attribute is that the faith he has expressed with his tongue. Accept every step taken by those who rise in the field of action.
4 As far as their individual success is concerned, it was achieved by the finding of these two attributes. But who will call it a lamp that does not erase the darkness of its environment. What happened to the river that does not irrigate the deserts and flat plains and make them green. Therefore, he said that the third quality is that he tries hard to accept the truth in his circle of influence and establish its supremacy. This is possible only when they teach each other patience and perseverance.
Patience is the main and fourth condition of success. It doesn’t just mean you get hurt and don’t panic. Rather, patience in doing good deeds, patience in avoiding sins, patience in obeying commandments, patience in the face of environmental pressure. When such an Ummah comes into existence, then the flag of truth will always remain high.
While accepting the truth and facing the difficulties faced in this way, patience is being strongly advised and emphasized. What their ancestors have bequeathed to them about these matters. They continue to bequeath it to their future generations. Because accepting the truth and showing patience and perseverance in this path are both very important.
